Joe Posey, our Senior Director of Business Development, brings a great deal of experience to RPI. He is a seasoned Business Development Professional with over ten years of capture management, business development, and sales background. He is experienced in building and leading sales teams, as well as mid-level program management of sales organizations and capture teams. He has a proven track record of successful sales program development in telecommunications, Information Technology, and products and services. 

Joe attended James Madison University (JMU) where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Business Management. He also attended Kennesaw State University to further his business education after graduating from JMU. He also has certifications in business development, proposal writing, and new business capture from Shipley Associates. Joe also holds a CompTia Security+ Certification.  

While at JMU, Joe played on the Men’s Basketball team for four years. Before transitioning to pursue his career in the business world, he played basketball professionally abroad. He spent most of his career playing in South America, but also in Canada and three summers in training camp with the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers.  

When he isn’t working, Joe enjoys spending time with his children, which are the most important thing to him. He is also actively engaged in community outreach using business and sports, specifically basketball, to connect youth to mentors and introduce various career paths.
